My uncle, "Pop", passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Valentine's Day while my aunt was in the hospital. It was a tragic situation, so I wrote this song in memory of him and to help process grief.

This song was inspired by a Mississippi Delta sunset. Someone who is a "ride or die" is someone who is going to stay with you no matter what. This is a love song I wrote about two people who stick it out until the end.
