I was writing songs for SnakeBite's debut CD and friend of mine said you need a ballad for the CD... my girlfriend was 1400 miles away visiting family for a month and wrote "You" one night thinking about her.

This song is about being tied to the sea despite the lure of foreign sunsets and magical travels.

Got this song idea from all the country gospel songs we played, taking a spin on the title of "Amazing Grace".... used a lot of old gospel titles in the chorus to help pull this together, which has been well received among my followers...

This song is a co-write with Stephen Klevas. I saw his original lyrics online, approached him about a co-write, made some adjustments, wrote the music and recorded myself singing/playing guitar.

This is a co-write with Justin Strange. He had mentioned the title to me over a year ago but it was in someone else’s hands at that time. Fast forward, I asked him whatever happened to that song and he said “Nothing. The other guy hasn’t gotten back to me...”
I offered to pick up the ball and run with it, and the rest is history. Minor adjustments to the lyrics are a given, so after that was done, I wrote the music and recorded it.
This was my first real foray into self recording in my home studio and production.

This is one of the very first songs that I wrote. While a friend of mine's spouse was deployed overseas, she started dating another soldier. When she got home, she told him she wanted a divorce. That situation inspired this song.

When I was a teen, I would stay up late talking to boyfriends. If the clock hit 11:11 while we were on the phone, we'd make a wish. This song was inspired by past loves and heartbreak.
