Another one of those demos I recorded in Europe under lockdown. One take (actually it's the 2nd take), with all my vocal and playing limitations on display. Hopefully, my songs are as basic as they get so they don't need much to get through.
A great photo by #Jesse Bowser.

This is a little surreal pop song recorded under lockdown earlier this year in a single take. Of course, it's a demo and needs more instruments and voices so I have to polish it up, but the raw emotion and the power of the lyrics is there already and I decided to share it and get your feedback on how to make it better. It is the first song I am putting out where all the writing, singing and playing is mine, and for a lyricist I think I did about OK, though your opinions may vary. It is what it is.

I am giving this song another shot for two reasons: I wrote an extra verse and recorded the new version with my own vocal. The new verse adds a little bit of light at the end of a long dark tunnel, which I think is good. Not crazy about the vocal.

My lyric called for a slow blues number but my writing partner decided to go in a pop direction and wrote a slow dreamy ballad instead. I am quite fond of the tune and will tweak the lyrics some more to match the overall feel. The proper recording of the song will probably change a few things that you hear on the demo.

Another demo we wrote with Peter D. Smith which he recorded in his home studio. At this point it is just a nice tune between genres which we will probably give more edge when we record it.

An old demo... song is from the POV of a military family kid. In turns funny, sad, patriotic & quite upbeat.
Not a country song by any stretch but I am still fond of the lyrics and hope someone may use it for a TV movie soundtrack or similar.
