My lyric called for a slow blues number but my writing partner decided to go in a pop direction and wrote a slow dreamy ballad instead. I am quite fond of the tune and will tweak the lyrics some more to match the overall feel. The proper recording of the song will probably change a few things that you hear on the demo.

All I Ever Want Is You
I’m running out of juice, not heading for a break up.
Too late to pick and choose, too early now to hang up.
I’m waiting on an offer I hope I can’t refuse.
Can’t turn the page on you, I got too much to lose.
Pre-chorus
Much hardship everywhere, few options I can use.
I can make money anyhow but all I ever want is you.
Chorus
All I ever want is you,
All I ever need is you,
You’re the one, my only,
All I ever want is you.
Got a penknife in my pocket, I got John the Conqueroo.
He’s talking in my sleep, I laugh so hard I’m turning blue.
I may be out of it a bit, but I will always remain true.
I carry cash in my sock, I plan to spend it all on you.
Pre-chorus
Much hardship everywhere, few options I can use;
I can make money anyhow but all I ever want is you.
Chorus
All I ever want is you,
All I ever need is you,
You’re the one, my only,
All I ever want is you.
