Lamentations 3:22-23 is my favorite scripture. I actually wrote this song for a summer teen camp last year at the church where I serve as worship leader, then we’re recording it and planning to release on streaming, and maybe as part of a CD.

I struggled with how to console a woman who had lost her Mother in a car accident. As I offered many ideas, I wanted to conclude it with the only consolation that really matters, being there for someone.

I was given a chorus and asked to write the verses for this song by David Snyder. I did have a family member in mind while writing.

David Snyder sent me a music bed and asked me to write what I heard. I heard summer fun, sunshine, and a road trip.

I re-wrote the lyrics for my daughter when she was about 2 years old. I wanted to sing the song for her, but the original lyrics, in my opinion, aren't very nice for a lttle kid.
