Prodigal son story.

These lyrics are my first duet. David Snyder and I are on vocals. My goal is not to perform, I want to write, so what I share should be considered a worktape or demo for pitching.

This song was created specifically for a sync opportunity that would be recorded by an actor. The request was for an Elvis Presley sounding song from the 60s.. David Snyder and I turned this around in about 12 hours.

I wrote this song on a Sunday morning before heading to worship. The words just came to me. I sent them over to David Snyder and he came back with a rough track a couple hours later. We chose to keep this song a vocal and David on guitar.

I was given a chorus and asked to write the verses for this song by David Snyder. I did have a family member in mind while writing.

David Snyder sent me a music bed and asked me to write what I heard. I heard summer fun, sunshine, and a road trip.

This is the first lyric I wrote! Again, collaborated with David Snyder on vocals and music. There were some lyrical changes, but the heart of the song is about all the hardworking men, including my dad, I know keeping it together.

I wrote the lyrics to this song last year and recently collaborated with David Snyder on vocals and music. This is more traditional than modern country. My goal always is to create demos for pitching to publishers, David considers himself an independent artist and focuses on releasing music, so our end goals are different, but the music comes to life in the end.
