George Winston passed away last week. This was an instrumental I wrote, very much influenced by him. I went Sailing with a friend on his Sail boat. I was sea sick for the first hour until we retreated back from the ocean to the bay:). The first half is the musical version of what it feels like to be sea sick. The second half hits smoother waters. RIP George and thanks for your music.

I wrote this in the middle of COVID watching my two performing arts daughters have to play to an empty audience for a live stream to raise money. It struck me how important art and music are in our lives, even when you disagree, maybe especially when you disagree. I recruited them to sing it for me:)

I struggled with how to console a woman who had lost her Mother in a car accident. As I offered many ideas, I wanted to conclude it with the only consolation that really matters, being there for someone.
