I live in the tropics on an island called Saint Lucia, where tourism is our main revenue earner. During my interactions with hotel guests, I came up with the inspiration for this song. To spend Christmas in the Caribbean during the winter months, would be an ideal way to enjoy the holidays. That's the reason why the tourists arrival statistics are the highest between December and January every year, especially from North America & Europe.

The story of my life after losing my son Brandon in a car accident. Everything went down hill from there. Not only did someone try to take my life in a car jacking attempt only 4 months after Brandon's passing, but I also lost a few very close family members within the space of 2 years. I felt like I was being attacked both spiritually, emotionally and physically by the enemy himself (Satan). However, I never gave up on living and my faith in God and the tightness of the relationship I share with my wife and daughter are the reasons why I'm still here and feeling stronger today. I do believe with all my heart that God has a powerful purpose for me, and that my music is one of the mediums through which I must fulfill his purpose.

A good friend of mine was going through a separation, and when he told me the story of what happened, I was inspired to compose "Starting over where we left off".

A hug is the best medicine known to mankind - and we all sure need one: in the morning, at the end of the day and as often as possible squeezed in between!
