This song is meant to feel like a couple wavering between connection and disconnect. At times I wanted it to feel like they were almost singing two separate songs. Easy to dance to.

This is a song about my father's younger brother Tim, 7th in a line of 9, who died in a motorcycle accident at age 19. I used to see his huge portrait hanging in my grandfather's house, and wonder about him.

I was doing an experiment. I asked my Facebook friends if they preferred simple or more complex and detailed songs. Surprisingly, the majority of answers was for simple.



I wrote this simple song about long distance relationships. In a time of online dating with possibility of deception and of time apart, this is what I came up with.
