About This Song

Wrote this one with my friends, Eric Erdman & Coley McCabe, one afternoon at Daredevil Production in Nashville.

Good twist and then good explanation of that twist.
Sounds like a Zac Brown Band type song.
Unfortunately, a true situation more than we know. Fortunately, for you guys.
Hope to hear it on radio!

Hi Brent! Glad to listen to your song here. With the first few lines, since you “landed” I thought you were at an airport, maybe stopping at a bar there since you had a “pina colada”. If you and your co-writers are open to edits, perhaps establish that you are on a cruise? In addition, your hook “all inclusive” is not as strong as something like “not inclusive” or some other words about who you are missing. That said, excellent delivery with great production!

To me it sounds a little too…safe. Nice vocals but the idea of “I’m too old for this but here I am” is good but maybe add a hottie? She’s way too young so it’s more of a midlife crises thing… This version seems more like a drinking song. Just my .02

ALL INCLUSIVE
(Coley McCabe, Eric Erdman, Brent Baxter)

From the moment I landed
I haven't been empty-handed
And I haven't pulled my wallet out
I got a pina colada
And rum with no bottom
And a buffet they never close down

CHORUS:
It's all inclusive
Tequila on tap in a five-star room
All inclusive
Tacos on the boat floating out to you
Brochure called it paradise
It'd be nice if that were true
It's all inclusive
Excluding you

Don't mind me
I'm just crying in my lobster
And I wish I never lost ya
Maybe I should have just stayed home
But we had the date circled
I plan to get my money's worth but
I didn't know it would be worthless being here alone

CHORUS:
It's all inclusive
Tequila on tap in a five-star room
All inclusive
Tacos on a boat floating out to you
Brochure called it paradise
It'd be nice if that were true
It's all inclusive
Excluding you
Excluding you

BRIDGE:
Turns out
Everything
Ain't everything
No everything
Ain't everything

CHORUS:
It's all inclusive
Tequila on tap in a five-star room
All inclusive
Tacos on a boat floating out to you
Brochure called it paradise
It'd be nice if that were true
It's all inclusive
Jacuzzi's kinda cold if it ain't for two
It's all inclusive
The only thing I want ain't on the menu
It's all inclusive
Excluding you
Excluding you
Excluding you
Excluding you
