Back in 2019, my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer, and just ten days into her chemo we lost her. Over the last few months, with the pandemic taking hold, I started to pick up the guitar again and write a bit. I hadn’t seriously sat down and written or recorded a song in about 8 years until now. And, I don’t usually sit down with the intention of writing about anything specific; but this time was different. The music and the words just started to flow as I thought about how connected to my mom I was, and still am, on so many levels.

This one's about redemption and hope when you meet someone who changes your world.

Judgement Day is about a guy that escaped a horrible relationship. He is thankful to be out of the relationship but depressed about the state of his life and the consequences of his decisions. So, he goes to the bar to ease his pain.

The song about a mass exodus of staff from a workplace. It's meant to be a moderately heavy rock song.

This song was written after watching a Carter family documentary … It is not in my typical writing style.

Inspired by and written for my young daughter who's given me direction in life. But I guess the song works for all loving relationships : )

This song is about an untraditional hero, a loving woman. I had hoped to capture the beauty and tranquility of knowing she has your back no matter what.

The idea was the way adults think of spending the night with someone. It was a common phrase my brother, cousins and I said a lot to our parents. "Can I go spend the night at so and so's" or "Can so and so spend the night with us". Now days when we would have a different meaning to Spend the Night.
