'Between A Rock And A Hard Place' I wrote a few years ago when I was rescued from a very difficult time when I was rather unhappy following my retirement from 18 years of nursing. Now that it has been brilliantly composed, played and recorded by Tilly Aldaine I would like to dedicate it to my rescuer Rob Bray. Of course I realise now that what I had perceived as an ending was indeed a new beginning and my songwriting is as important a part of my life as nursing. It and the wonderful people I have met because of it have saved me time and time again.

I've heard my whole life "don't talk to strangers." It's a lonely life when we remain closed off to others. Some of the best conversations of my life have been with people I had just met. Thought back through some of those moments and wrote this one.
