I played a show with my friend the "Loafing Hero" in Berlin. A rugby team came in the pub, found out he was Irish, and ruined his set of originals by demanding Irish ballads. It was rough, but you gotta keep on going, and that's what this is about.

The idea for this song came from a friend who wrote short stories.

This song is pretty different from my regular style (it is more folk). I understand the song is repetitive and not particularly exciting, but it's not meant to be. It's just something to listen to when working on other things or even going to bed!

I was trying to lift something heavy into a dumpster and kept asking myself,I'm open to whatever how can I get this in there? I sat down 10 minutes later and wrote this song.

A friend who likes to suggest song ideas to me when he's drunk called me up one night and said "How about 'it's a yo yo world'?" and I said "yes! I sorta like that!"

Had the idea for this song driving home from a 3-hour gig in Canton, not missing a person, just missing having a person to call, or that'd be there when I got back at 2am. It's totally not done, nor am I entirely happy with it...
