Jerry Reed was going to make a movie about moonshining and wanted a song for a chase scene. So, me and my friend wrote this song after I had my van in for service. When they gave me a loaner vehicle, They said, " Be careful she runs like a scalded dog".

I wrote this song when my older brother, Steve was going through cancer. We were remembering our childhood and playing pick-up baseball game.

This song is about a couple trying to resolve a disagreement in their relationship.

My dad got a little tipsy at a bar with some traveling dude and started bragging about me. Dad gives guy his phone to call and leave a message about how we would make a cute couple etc. Chewed my dad out and his response was "it's just a bar thing"
