Interesting story behind this tune..I'd spent a weekend devouring a biography about Elton John. Afterwards, I sat down and began writing. The words came to me, as if Bernie Taupin was there in the room..then I wrote the tune.

No matter what you do, they refuse to try and pursue a relationship with you. Your only option of being with them is in your dreams.

"In Common", it's simple: one of the most important things in any relationship is the friendship. You have to be able to call each other best friends and have a bond beyond your relationship. "In Common" explains just this;

I am working on writing some tracks for a band I am also working on starting. I play bass and guitar on this demo and started to play some vocal melody ideas with the guitar over it. The drums are GarageBand loops. Bonus bass solo!
