This song was inspired by a BBC article I read about a guy who had just opened a cafe and one of his first customers was an elderly, 83 year old man without a family. Although a total stranger, the guy was kind enough to invite the elderly man back to his home for Christmas dinner with his family. I thought to myself "what a beautiful gesture, we all need to do more".
The Little Things reminds us of what's really important this and every holiday season.. Kindness, caring, sharing, time spent with loved ones or with lonely strangers. Material gifts soon tarnish and fade, but giving of oneself in a busy world is the gift that is truly precious.
