The story of this song is about a seventeen-year-old girl who is in a questionable relationship with a young man who comes from a family of domestic abuse. She's being told to run away from this relationship. Three years pass and she is out of that fearful relationship and doing great, now as a twenty-year-old is running free and has nothing but good times ahead of her.

The song is about a girl who lived a troubled life and decided to leave her small town, and move away to try to find a new life for herself. While she was gone, she went through a major life change, finding a better life by finding God and doing away with her bad habits and the wrong friends. She came back home, and everyone noticed she was different person. They labeled her a Free Bird, Small Town, No Chains Kinda Girl.

I got the idea for this song when I took a selfie of my wife and I one morning before heading off to work in a snowstorm. I started thinking, suppose we took a selfie every morning. But before I left the house, my wife would always ask me, “ if you find any good, bring it home” and honestly, folks did quite often leave something of value that we could use and so, I did bring some things home.
But one Saturday morning, while at the junkyard, I got to thinkin, what if while I’m here some fella drives in and while there, he gets into an argument with his girlfriend, then he just leaves her there standing all alone. When I noticed the girl standing there I thought,
Well, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure “
And that is where the idea for my song came from.

"Throw A Heart Around Us" is a song about first love. It is a heartfelt ballad for anyone who has ever fallen in love and felt everything at once. I'm thinking it could make a great wedding song. I had posted this song previously, but made some much needed changes hopefully for the better. I thank everyone on songwriter pro who commented on the previous version and encouraged me to improve it.
