This is a story song with an evolving chorus, in which the narrator means well but has trouble limiting himself to just two beers.

This song was created specifically for a sync opportunity that would be recorded by an actor. The request was for an Elvis Presley sounding song from the 60s.. David Snyder and I turned this around in about 12 hours.

I wrote this song on a Sunday morning before heading to worship. The words just came to me. I sent them over to David Snyder and he came back with a rough track a couple hours later. We chose to keep this song a vocal and David on guitar.

I was given a chorus and asked to write the verses for this song by David Snyder. I did have a family member in mind while writing.

I took a few suggestions from other songwriters and tightened up the lyrics a little bit to create this new demo.

My goal always is to create demos for pitching to publishers, David considers himself an independent artist and focuses on releasing music, so our end goals are different, but the music comes to life in the end.
