The idea came to me while sitting on the curb during a garage sale. As I reminisced on my many trips to Mexico, the lyrics seemed to just flow out effortlessly. I admit that Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville came to mind. I ended up recording it and publishing it.

I saw the name of the town on a map, it had a musical ring to it, so I decided to write a song around it. As I was writing, I imagined Charlie Waller and the Country Gentlemen performing it.
