OUR HOME
Our childhood brings back memories of a time when life was new.
When through our parents' eyes we'd see the outside from their view.
Now age has given sight to us and by dawn's light we see,
that our time has come to flower and to realize our dreams.
Futures' candle burns and in its radiance it tells,
what was instilled in us as children lives within us now as well.
So as we search beyond tomorrow's sun we'll keep sight of today,
remembering silver lines the clouds life holds and love will light our way.
Our home,
paint a picture say a prayer.
Dream that someday we'll be there.
You and I, on our own.
Our home,
here we broke the virgin soil,
and now the product of our toil,
makes us proud.
Come share the view.
Welcome to our home.
In the morning drenched with sunlight pouring through the skytop panes,
I quickly read the morning paper; drink my coffee; join the race,
and though our time alone slips quickly still I hold close to my heart
the image of a fire burning as you melt in to my arms.
Our home,
is where my heart shall ever stay,
to its content we'll greet each day.
You and I, on our own.
Our home,
now that it's done may it be blessed,
and may its beauty represent,
the love we feel,
a love that grows, a love that knows,
Our home.
