Man Of Steel

No words of wisdom could save that man of Steel,
'twas easier to fly it seems than it was for him to feel.
His x-ray vision could burn through solid stone,
but he couldn't see the tears that fell when his baby ran from home.

Please daddy save me from these things that I don't know.
She sang it sweet and slow but the music wouldn't flow.
Please wont you understand, my world is filled with gloom.
It's just not safe here in this pink and yellow room.

Mommy didn't understand how he could save this cruel world.
But he couldn't find the strength it took to save his little girl.
And there he sat alone in his cave of stone and ice.
Imprisoned by his vanity, fore ego was his vice.

Please daddy save me from these things that I don't know.

Solo:

She see's a star, as it falls to earth from space.
A glowing warm green light rises from its resting place.
She chips a piece to small for other men to see.
Then drops it in a cup of her daddy's morning tea.

And now he falls asleep and forgets the worlds screams.
He's with his family now and we'll protect him while he dreams.
And now he can't escape by flying way up high,
we'll lie upon the summer grass and watch the clouds go by.
