Started playing around with guitar sounds, looking for something of a 50s or 60s "The Shadows" kind of sound. Lyrics were then about looking back and wondering what you might change... and deciding nothing, as then you never know what would be lost.

Looking out through the glass
Not at the world but at the past
Where every raindrop falling fast's
A passing thought of what might of been
Looking back on all those what-ifs
CHORUS
And every choice made closes doors
A flowing cascade of effect and cause
Some times I pause and second guess
What would be more, what would be less
If I made decisions afresh
Looking back on what might of been
A passing thought for all those what-ifs
CHORUS
And every choice made closes doors (opens doors)
A flowing cascade of effect of cause
(INSTRUMENTAL)
And when the storm finally clears
I turn my eyes back to what's here
I wouldn't risk what I hold dear
By playing games with what might of been
Changing any of those what-ifs
CHORUS
And every choice made opens doors
A flowing cascade of effects
