This is a song I wrote when I show myself in the mirror wearing my ex boyfriend sweatshirt he had left at my parents house. I specifically left it there so I wouldn't have to look at it, I avoided it for years and finally one day I put it on.

It started as a reply from always hearing the term “simple life”, thinking there’s got to be another way of saying this. Wrote it around the title. This one is a rough draft but reached #1 (twice) the Christian Music Weekly Country chart. Enjoy.

My dad got a little tipsy at a bar with some traveling dude and started bragging about me. Dad gives guy his phone to call and leave a message about how we would make a cute couple etc. Chewed my dad out and his response was "it's just a bar thing"
