Losing someone in your life can be hard to handle.

So many songs about how the Whiskey isn't working, so I figured we needed a song about how it works just fine.

It started out as an idea for a blues song about a fair-weather friend and evolved into this.

The story was inspired a trip to the dentist and the technician was unexpectedly covered in tattoos and the title was born...

It's a love song.

This is a kind of western swing I wrote for my 3rd album Mended Fences. A definite departure from what I was doing though there's a story there and that's my favorite part of song writing. It did well in Europe where there a bit more open minded about other forms of country. Of course now it would be called Americana.

The song is about being left out of things. Physically and also being shut out mentally.
