The song is a humorous apocalyptic look at Climate Change
I would love feedback.
Hey, Greg! Thanks for sharing your work with us. Nice retro groove here. I wish you’d had the lyric posted… it helps me dig into my reviews.
Interesting lyrics… not sure I would’ve gotten the meaning without your introduction. But that’s probably ok for this type of thing.
I like the title, and it’s certainly intriguing.
Hope that helps. Keep on writing, and thanks again for sharing your song with us!

For me, this is a very metaphorical song and I maybe didn’t follow the lyric - but then I started feeling what you were talking about… I like it! I listened to all three of your songs and they have an emotional impact that allowed me to drift along:) Nice!

Living Underground:
The leaves on the trees are mostly brown,
The grass is white so don’t look down,
The truth is coming true right now
There’s no real difference I can see between salt and sand and hot sea breeze
I tell you baby everyone;s living underground
If you don;t mind I dont mind,
I;ve got no time to change your mind,
Way too many white folks run this town.
Fresh creeks and streams are now just dreams,
White papers written in endless reams,
I tell you baby, everyone’s living underground.
And the night before, the night before,
They said we could open the back porch door,
But the promise came too late to be believed.
Hail and drought are just the norms,
No shelter built for these power storms,
All we study is the science of retreat.
The sceptics voices were way too loud,
But I still blame the middle ground,
For doing just what they always pleased.
The price of truth was way to low,
But the voice of reason spoke too slow
I tell you baby everyone’s living underground.
And the night before, the night before,
They said we could open the back porch door,
But the promise came too late to be believed.
Hail and drought are just the norms,
No shelter built for these power storms,
All we study is the science of retreat.

This is a good song for placement in an independent film, I can picture a burned out detective driving through vegas at night, aimlessly looking for clues. Reminds me of some Dylan songs, actually.
As far as criticism, as a listener, there were some timing issues that took away from the lyrical meaning., and the 1st guitar solo could probably be swapped for a quick lift, like the chorus chords, with some haunting (lots of reverb) guitar notes in the background. This would keep the pressure going, and get to the verses more quickly. Overall, it’s got a strong vibe the whole way through, and it’s easy to get into!
