I have since changed this song a bit. I slowed it down and changed the last verse to make it stronger. You can find the change in the written lyrics. I haven't re-recorded it yet so the changes are not on this.

This songs starts out a little folkish but turns into a southern rock type

This is the only song I ever had a co-writer on. A friend of mine named Blair Moniger wrote the first two verses of this song and he got stuck. He asked me to finish it if I could. So I did. But before I could show it to him he was killed in a motorcycle accident. So this one's for you Blair. I hope you like it.

This is a song to my children and to all the Dads out there who have suffered separation from their children

Not really much of a story behind this. I was just messin around one day and come up with a catchy little shuffle at the end of a stop. I liked the rythym and was havin fun with it. And this is what come out. lol

This song was inspired by an event where I lost my children for a while. I framed it so that any parent could relate when their little girl leaves the nest, gets married or just goes off on her own. I believe this to be true American country. Tryin to hit ya where the heart beats.
