This is the only song I ever had a co-writer on. A friend of mine named Blair Moniger wrote the first two verses of this song and he got stuck. He asked me to finish it if I could. So I did. But before I could show it to him he was killed in a motorcycle accident. So this one's for you Blair. I hope you like it.

I looked out my front door
and what did I see
this old mangy dog..he came a runnin to me
he don't give me no back talk
none that I don't need
he just got that hungry look..when it's time for his feed
But animals are my friends, they just live in their pens
they don't take no offense
when we don't make any sense
Then I looked out my back door
and what did I see
just this ole mangy horse..he came a runnin to me
he don't give me no back talk
none that I don't need
he just got that hungry look.. when it's time for his feed
Then I peered into my bedroom
huh..what did I see
look like a big ole hiporanamus..son it was starrin at me
and it always got that back talk
most that I don't need and it's got that hungry look
when it's time for it's feed
But animals are my friends
they just live in their pens
they don't don't take no offense
when we don't make any sense
