A psalm. Or a love song. Eco-friendly.

This song was born out of the frustration with the idea that music is "free." It was also a Song Title Challenge about a year ago. I was also pleased that it just won awards from NSAI and the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest.

This is lyrics-only. It was sparked by one of Brent's kickstarter exercises, "Regret is..." That was dropped as the song evolved through several drafts.

Today's March for Life Day, and it made me think of this song. Almost got this one cut (Isn't that one of the checklist items on the songwriting path?).

This is a new studio version of the song I had posted earlier. It recently won an Honorable Mention in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest.

This is a lyric that grew out of one of Brent's WordPlay Thursday exercises It's a rewrite of my first draft, which was basically stream of consciousness. This is basically a lyric entry. The soundtrack is just a crude rendition of the melody, but I thought it would be better than just reading it. Maybe not. You can ignore it.

Co-written with Scott Thorn (https://scottthorn.com/), this song was recently a second-place winner in the Dallas Songwriters Association's lyric competition. Scott has a rock-country version in the works, but this is a stripped-down acoustic take.

I saw her in the window seat on the plane from Wichita, gazing out on golden fields. I know that isn’t what she saw.
