Zydeco style fiddle song about summer love.

"Syria, West Virginia" was written about war-torn Syria, but when I sing it I also see places like Boone County, West Virginia in my head as well.

It is about how lucky I am to have a family, even a messy one.

This song was started in the days that followed the massive Orlando night club shooting on June 12, 2016. I first got the idea for the song from a line I heard in Game Of Thrones and thought it would a good start to this song..."When will it be enough, when will it end?". Not sure if it's country or folk but changed it to folk...

This is personal to share. I lost my dad this past November. I wrote this song before he died. I even sang it to him. He said it was one of my more positive songs. Anyway, the quality isn't the best, but it is about having to let go of my father. I am still in the process.

This song is about not knowing the answers to everything and maybe thats okay. Trying to find peace in difficult times, uplifting sort of song. The recording quality of this song is low, because it was just a practice session recorded with my phone.
