This is a demo track I recorded at Nothing But Noise studio, with backup vocals by Lexi Jackson (of Wild the Waters) and Matt Davis (of Thunder Buddies), and some nice guitar licks from Matt.
It's still unmastered, but hopefully is listenable enough to get feedback.

The Parable of the Wedding Banquet
22 Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: 2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 3 He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.
4 “Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’
5 “But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. 6 The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. 7 The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9 So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

I wrote the words and music here on this song. "As For Me And My House" it is a passage from the Bible that my wife had a decorative item in our house and I thought I would use that for the song. Turns out other writers have also used this passage and title, though as is the case, I like my song best!
I did the production right in my home with me on the vocals and playing the instrumentation. I was fairly happy with the result.

Genre: Christian Pop/Rock/Country is what we we're aiming for. This co-write is with a friend of mine in Kentucky. This is an acoustic version, but I want to rock it up a little once we get all three elements of the song right. Lyric, melody and chord progression.
At no point am I trying to sound like a solo artist here. This recording is a one shot, just plugged in and played rough demo. No effects, no in-depth production and no auto-tune. I tried to stay in time the best I could.

A song I wrote and performed as a born-again Christian in 2001. It is the feeling that once life is at its closing end and you've given everything you've got, you are telling the Lord you are ready for judgment and for Him to show you the way to heaven... "With Your wings"... being His wings that He gives you. This was a simple one take guitar-vocal, then I added the background vocals and several years later I added the bass. That is all there is to this song's production. I really wouldn't change a thing.

This is a song I have been working on for awhile that I believe is finished. I wanted to tell a story about how this character went from believing the "Better Life" to be anywhere but the church, to being ready to move on to the "Better Life" of an eternity with God.

I spent several years in prison ministry, leading worship and doing concerts "inside the walls" in several large correctional facilities in Colorado ... This song is written to those who are struggling with a personal demon (whatever it might be) to offer encouragement ... simple guitar/vocal ...
