I grew up singing but wasn't able to get to my full potential vocally. One day as I was thinking about this and how I wanted to sing to God better, this song came in words and music. I was wondering what the angels sing like, and wishing I could bring that sound to earth for God.

I was a representative from the company I work for to our local/regional Anti-Human Trafficking organization. I heard the stories of several women who had come out of being trafficked, and thought there should be a Christian song to bring awareness to this terrible scourge. I wrote the lyric and John Rowsey wrote the melody.

For days when I feel lost, I try to remember that God is always with me, and I'm never alone

A near death experience back in 2003 gave me a new perspective on life. I am still a work in progress.

One of my good friends attended a men's conference for a weekend and mentioned that the speaker kept saying God won't waste your pain. I thought that would be a good unique hook for a worship song. I saw a Tim Tebow video on Youtube that helped me.

While attending a Christmas service, I noticed a man sitting on his own--no one really near him, and this song started stirring in my heart. Living alone doesn't necessarily mean we're lonely--especially when we have God in our lives--but it's important to reach out to those in need.

I get so caught up in Christmas preparations, gift-buying, etc., that sometimes I forget that I've already been given the greatest gift of all--Jesus. How awesome is it, that the almighty God would give us His Son, who would then give us His life to save our sins??!

It's easy to take for granted all that God gives and does for me. Simply waking up each day is a gift! My prayers may not be answered the way "I" think they should, but I need to trust God to provide.
