Ted,

This is nice. And you created some cool images which are very relateable. The only thing that struck me as strange was your open and closing line. I know what you meant by it, but it conjured up an image of everything he had or did being buried with him. It just seemed like a strange way of saying it.

That aside - pretty song.

How Do I Say Goodbye

Written by Tedd Swormtedt

All his years of living lie in that pine box
Photographs and memories are all I've got
The one in black and white faded and worn
That’s him holding me the night that I was born
He held my hand when I took my first step
I held his hand as he took his last breath

When all his years of living come down to one moment in time
How do I say goodbye

That one over there is when he taught me how to shave
And to how to put tissues on the cuts on my face
And when my heart got broke he said time will help it heal
When this world’s to hard to stand remember how to kneel
He let me go when I took my first ride
I let him go as he gave his last smile

When all his years of living come down to one moment in time
How do I say goodbye

When my time here has run out
And I'm on the other side of the clouds
I hope he's there to give me a hand and say hi
Then I won't have to say goodbye

All his years of living lie in that pine box
