Tedd,

I like that line “Down where the road dead ends.” That’s really cool! Gives me a cool visual. Whenever you turn down a Dead End road, you never know what to expect when the road ends. I can see this party happening.

My only bit of feedback is that there is a good number of scenes I’m trying to follow along with in my head. Some I like, but others feel a tad cliche, but as with all songs like this, it can be tough to avoid them.

The little Charlie Daniels feel to the verses are kind of nice. It gives you that feeling of a party that’s wild and crazy and not everyone is invited. However, those who are invited, know why they keep coming back.

Because it’s like no other party.

Thanks for sharing! I hope my feedback is helpful.

Love it Tedd!  Good to hear your work again. Love the contrast and the imagery. The groove and guitar licks are awesome.
Cool tune. Want to hear it again.

Where the Party Begins

Written by Tedd Swormtedt

WHERE THE PARTY BEGINS

Friday night There's a place we go that'll put the country in your soul
Its a place rand McNally ain't yet found

The dance floors made of Georgia clay the bar and stools are bales of hay
There’s a bumper crop of beauties all round

We go from sundown to sunup shooting shine from a Dixie cup
Our homegrown would make Willie proud
There ain't no bouncers, no velvet ropes
No last call or dress code

Down where the road dead ends everybody come on in
There's ice cold bud we're gonna country up
Play some Skynard, Stait and Kid
Down where the road dead ends
That's where the party begins

From concrete burbs and heartland farms in pick up trucks, Harley's and cars
They come to put this world all behind

We got Willie lovers and parrot heads we got cowboys, angels and rednecks
We all got the same thing on our mind

Now there's a little southern peach with long blonde hair and cutoff jeans
Looking like she's ready to unwind
Her brown eyes and her country smile
Say tonight will get wild

Down where the road dead ends everybody come on in
There's ice cold bud, them country girls are fun
Later we'll all skinny dip
Down where the road dead ends
That's where the party begins

It don't matter who are don't matter where you're from
You'll have a good time when you come

Down where the road dead ends everybody come on in
Down where the road dead ends everybody's making friends
There's ice cold bud, them country girls are fun
We'll play some Skynard Strait and Kid
Down where the road dead ends
That's where the party begins
