I know you will probably hate me for saying this but you have some good bones but it’s just too safe. It also has some “on the nose” dialogue. In this case, the guy is standing on the driveway, nervous,looking at his feet and the female talks about his “shy” kiss. Hits right on the nose. So I think you should change that. Also get rid of the hardship years. And grandkids. Keep us in the magical moment of two kids on the drive. So Maybe it’s a question: is this a “first spark” to forever? Then was this a first touch to forever? and finally, was this a first kiss? Also have you ever thought about NOT making it a duet? Like just a guy singing about his girl. Again this is just my 02
