I guess this could be called a love song. Really speaks to the dependency we have on other people (in a good way).
The song is supposed to ultimately be positive and hopeful. Wondering whether that comes through in the end. Written in B minor, but most of the chords are major...would like to know if the chord progressions work nicely together.

I know the budget is tight but do you think that tonight
We can turn up the heat just a bit
There’s a chill in my bones and even here in our home
This weakness is so hard to admit
Perhaps you can lay with me here in our bed
You can hold me so gently and cradle my head
Cause I’m feeling cold and lost
And I worry that I’ll never defrost
I can’t pinpoint its source and it’s silly of course
I know thoughts cannot bleed
But this frost has descended and completely upended
The security I seem to need
So perhaps you can lay with me here in our bed
You can hold me so gently and cradle my head
Cause I’m feeling cold and lost
And I worry I’ll never defrost
Your sweet touch the elixir
My spirit will rise
The cold giving way
To the warmth in your eyes
Perhaps you can lay with me here in our bed
You can hold me so gently and cradle my head
Cause I’m feeling cold and lost
And I worry I’ll never defrost

Your lyrics are really lovely! I love the emotional dissonance of having it in a minor key. It sounds great!
