One of my most raw songs, almost painful to play. Especially to the person it is about.
It is pulled from a live video that I did at the open mic. Was the first time I played it for anyone!

I wanted to walk away
as soon as you said
you wanted to talk to me
a thousand thoughts went through my head
That I could say
But I shouldn't
You could stay
But maybe you shouldn't
I can’t help but think
that when you leave
you’ll forget about me
Good thing I am over it
or else this would hurt
I’m trying not to take it
To personally
I hope that you find yourself
That’s what you’re looking for
Please don’t prove me right
So much could go wrong
Late night cigar talks
salsa dancing in the living room
when we would see each other just passing through

Love the simplicity of this song for sure. The chorus is really nice and has that timeless feel to it. Really interested in what others have to say about this. The hurt is real, and I think this has great potential for sure.
