About This Song

This is my new baby! I know what it is about for myself, but I will leave it to your own interpretation. Let me know what you think it is about!

Not the best vocals in this recording of the song but working on legit recordings!

I like the drive and that underlining dark sound . I hear a full drive band behind this with crescendos and distortion.  I like the simple dreamlike lyrics. A good song.

Greg said it perfectly. This has an underlining darkness that is really captivating and does have a dreamlike feel to it.

If you have not already, try to connect with Joey Hendrickson on here. He may have some great feedback to give as well.

I like this one the best of all yours I have listened to probably because it has more structure and rhyme than some of the others and I am old fashioned. I think a cello accompanyment would go nicely or even a harmonica in the distance with some reverb on it. Good song!

Poets In Our Sleep

Written by Mackenzie Benish

Sleepless nights and foggy streets
Writing our memories like harmonies
Tangled between
Reality
We're all poets in our sleep

Suddenly it seems as though
It is just a dream
As I'm fading in and out
In and out of sleep
Black and white and colored things
are dancing all around me instead of
Instead of counting sheep

Music playing in the dark
Bicycles riding through the park
Boy and girl a moment shared
Neither one of them were prepared
The haze is quickly setting in to slow this romance from beginning
From beginning
