Georgia Bennett is a young girl who was in a terrible accident and as a result, it has left her with terrible injuries. I read about her online and since the accident, she has been building her life back up, opening her own business and getting on with spreading a positive message. I was really inspired by her story.
This is a live-work tape, any feedback on anything would be amazing before I take things it to demo status.
I’ll disagree with both of you. Jason sounds much more like Jon Bon Jovi than Brett Michaels. Lol.
Jason, you do a really great job at really selling the emotion and passion of the song in your performance. Like you’re really pouring everything you’ve got into it. That’s a really great ability to have and not one that comes easy for singers. Especially when you’re singing along in your studio trying to record the vocal track and hit all the notes, stay in tune, etc.

This is a really pretty song, and the acoustic vocal recording is wonderful. The lyric is very poetic and not literal, which I get is your type of writing, but there are some lines that I just can’t quite interpret, such as “strength from my crown, cut me from the race” or “to walk a tightrope”, but that’s okay. Some people like to really try to make their own interpretations, and this sounds more of a pop/rock song.
The only thing that really jumped out at me was the bridge. I’m hearing:
It’s so easy to fall
So easy fade (insted of slide away)
I like those two words starting with the letter “F”. Sounds better to me. For that last line, you could choose between “not going down today” or “I’m not going away”.
Anyway, great job, Jason. Good luck with your song.

The dog days of summer,
A lovely day in the park,
Two wheels and§ a passenger,
Met four then it went dark,
The circle wasn't a place for speed,
I was desperate not to pass,
I fell asleep to heal,
Woke up like broken glass
You can ask why me,
Or you can say ok,
What can I do,
About this today,
I'm going to make a change,
To help others move on,
You can bathe in my Georgia sunshine all day long,
I came home to the place I love,
I lost a little faith,
The strength from my crown,
Cut me from the race,
As time went by I opened up,
An empire of love and hope,
I rose from that wreckage,
To walk a tight rope
It’s so easy to fall,
So easy to slide away,
Im not going down today,
I came home to the place I love,
I lost a little faith,
The strength from my crown,
Cut me from the race,
As time went by I opened up,
An empire of love and hope,
I rose from that wreckage,
To walk a tight rope
