This is a duet song about a couple that has been together for a while and she wants a commitment from him but he keeps dragging his feet.
The melody needs to be redone on this one.
Written by Mike McCorison, melody and sung by J and K Sins
All and any feedback welcomed. Thank you
Hi Kay I appreciate you and your opinions and yes it might be a different way to write a duet but I thought I would step out of the norm and see what happens. The heaven thing is sometimes like opposites attract and you wonder why and the only thing came to me was yeah its part of the good Lords plan that these two can make it work with some patience on the woman’s part lol. This guy does love her but as he says patience is the key….I wanted this to be a quirky song that might be fun to listen too. The music on this was not what I was looking for and I wanted the singers to be more of an older country style vibe, Thanks for listening again Kay. Take care and look forward to listening to more from you.

Single minded woman /double talking man (duet)
Chorus:
Man: She’s a single minded woman
Woman: He’s a double talking man
Both: Why we fit together
We don’t understand
It’s gotta be from heaven
And a part of his plan
Man: For my single minded woman
Woman: And my double talking man
Woman: Darlin we had a two year plan
Now its turned to four
How long you gonna make me wait
Before you give me more
I want a gold band on my finger
With diamonds to make er shine
Two kids, a dog and a cat
And a lot more loving time
Repeat chorus:
Man: Hon I know I promised you
All those family things
And someday I’ll get you
That big ole shiny ring
But for now I hope that
You can, really understand
I’m just being who I am
A take it slow and easy kind of man
Repeat chorus:
Woman:
When it comes to loving you
Boy you know I do
But stringing me along like this
May change my point of view
I think its time you stop
All your selfishness
And come on over here to my side of the fence
Man:
Hon I’m still the same guy
You fell in love with way back when
You knew my flaws and weakness
Ever since our time began
So please don’t make me jump that fence
And get caught up in the wire
I admit I may be a little slow
To fulfill your dreams and desires
Repeat chorus:
Bridge:
Woman:
You got a funny way of showing
All your love for me
Man: When it comes to loving babe
Patience is the key
Repeat chorus:
Man:
She’s a single minded woman
Woman: He’s a double talking man
Both: Why we fit together
We don’t understand It’s gotta be from heaven
And a part of his plan
Man: For my single minded woman
Woman: And my double talking man
Both: Gotta be from heaven
And a part of his plan
Man: For my single minded woman
Woman: And my double talking man

Hi Mike, I think this theme is very relatable. It was a bit confusing to my brain to go every other line to be the male/female switch. Maybe it would have been more interesting to me, if it was a male singing, and she comes around in the bridge to add her two sense in - I think she is saying, ‘staying in the middle doesn’t work:’ I guess to me the ‘Heaven’ part was distracting with the theme. I think you are on to something and I listened with a critical ear as I really like it when people just say it on my songs if something doesn’t jive with them. Maybe, it won’t add or take away anything from your song, but honestly sure helps. You write great pictures in your lyrics and maybe I’m looking for more pictures in this one. I enjoy your songs, Mike:)
