Genre: Country
This song I wrote is about a guy that is sneaking behind his womans back and it catches up to him in the end.

I really like this tune. What I’d love to do with it though, is put a modern underpinning on it, mid tempo and groovy, maybe a little more angry sounding
Lyrics and melody are solid!

Hi Mike
I really like the song. My only thought is that the verses and chorus sound pretty much the same melodically. That’s just mho. Will listen to more of your tunes later.

Hi Joan
I appreciate you listening to Lie of Omission and your thoughts on it. I do see what your saying on them too. Its been awhile since I wrote this and I think it was meant to be kind of dark and moody if you know what I mean. Any suggestions how to make it pop more? Thanks again and I will check out some of your material too. Take care

Lie of Omission
You pushed me in a corner
Got my back against the wall
Those words you keep on saying
Don’t make much sense at all
All your little white lies
Get bigger as you speak
Getting to the point
My heart knows that you cheat
So
Chorus:
Raise you hand
Swear to God
Tell me it’s not true
The rumors that are spreading
Aren’t the whole damn truth
In my heart I envision
Your love being true
But another lie of omission
Has caught right up with you
Yes it has
You lie, lie, lie, lie, lie
You said it was friends
You were hanging with
Drinking buds from college
But her name was Tiff
You never would have told me
Til I redialed on your phone
There was her name and number
Now your covers blown
So
Chorus:
Raise you hand
Swear to God
Tell me it’s not true
The rumors that are spreading
Aren’t the whole damn truth
In my heart I envision
Your love being true
But another lie of omission
Has caught right up with you
Bridge:
You can plead your case baby
Tell it to the judge
I got all the evidence
And now I hold the grudge
So
Chorus:
Raise you hand
Swear to God
Tell me it’s not true
The rumors that are spreading
Aren’t the whole damn truth
In my heart I envision
Your love being true
But another lie of omission
Has ended me and you
Yes it has
You lie, lie, lie, lie, lie
