Any feedback is welcome thank you!
I really this song and the lyrics. It sounds like you’re definitely trying to get the Apple commercial spot for the App Store! ![]()
I think your lyrics are very clever and engaging. I also like the production of this recording.
The rap and melody mixed together is interesting.
I like this verse in the song:
“We don’t even speak
When you sit down next to me
Just text, GIF,
or better yet send an emoji
What happened to the words we used to say?
Walking hand on screens… that’s how our eyes met
Oh yeah, there’s an app for that”
I think the message in your song is very true to the world we live in today. As someone who lives in the Silicon Valley, this song rings true for me.
The only comment I have is that the song is quite a dark commentary on technology and how it affects human relationships. I wonder if there is a way to tie in that darkness to the song as the final message. Because otherwise it just sounds like a happy, almost cheeky song. It feels like there needs to be a resolution to opening sentiment in your song that ties it all together.
Nice song and clever idea!

Can you hook me up? (there’s an app for that)
Re-align my calm (there’s an app for that)
I need a new Bae (there’s an app for that)
Feel I can’t connect (there’s an app for that)
No matter what it is (there’s an app for that)

The more support they say we have
The lonelier I feel
If I get sick, I use the app and call an MD (Call an MD)
Fifteen minutes they ping me back
A diagnosis and a heartfelt chat
’Cause you know there’s an app for that

Ain’t got no friends (and it’s been a while)
No time to chat (there’s an app for that)
Don’t worry ‘bout that
Feel I can’t connect (outside these walls)
Want to visit the past (pick up my voice calls)
Where no one knows my name (there’s an app for that)
There’s an app for that (there’s an app for that)
No time, no change, too busy to stop and rearrange
Live fast hanging up my hang ups wait a minute, you got an app for that
