This song was inspired by an unknown man I once noticed in passing last winter. He was alone, sitting isolated and coatless on the swingset of a nieghborhood park in my hometown. This song I wrote from what might have been his perspective that day.
Lovesickness is so often the reason behind strange behavior. With this guy, I felt that love-lost had something to do with his circumstance, returning to a place that represented a budding relationship that is now over. Does this image come though?

Oh did you know, that there's still seven swings in the park?
I know, just because I walked by, yeah I went back and I counted them all off
And by the way baby, you know that fence?
Where we sat around for a minute yeah we talked for hours, it's still there
And by the way baby, I think we're still flying
Losing our grips on monkey bars landing on our backs laughing and counting all the stars
And I think we're still counting on
Counting on the park
Falling off flat surfaces, like paperbacks with the notes left last week
Dig deeper in your pockets and you'll see me, ripping at the seams
And I think we're still counting on
Counting on the park

I really love this song. It has a really nice tone and your voice is absolutely perfect. I can tell you feel the music you sing and that’s the one thing nobody can teach you to do. The lyrics are amazing and I really hope you go far. (:
