Really cute Brent! Big smile factor! Love verse two and examples of what those hands can do that don’t just involve sex… gives the character a sweet side. Thanks for sharing!

I’ll be honest, I don’t listen to a lot of country. The country songs I like are typically a blend of pop and country, soul plus country, or gospel plus country. That being said, I believe this song could have an important place because it kind of makes us think about the farmers of America and these folks make our food and make this country what it is but don’t get much acknowledgement. The melody is definitely very good and the lyrics are very tight, I can’t think of anything you should change. My favorite part is usually the bridge of the song, weird, I know, but I like when you revisit the chorus right after and pull back the intensity a bit. I think a man who works hard is very alluring to women, there is something very respectable about that and the imagery conjured up here certainly romanticizes these hardworking types.

Baby, I know we just met
You really don’t know me yet
But what do ya say
About going on a date
With a farm hand
I know these knuckles are scuffed
From working on tractors and trucks
I know they may look a little rough
But once you get a little, you’ll never get enough… Of these
CHORUS
Farm hands, strong and steady
Farm hands, always ready
To lift you up and lay you down
Wrap your pretty little fingers around
These farm hands will hold you tighter
Farm hands sure can start a fire
You ain’t been touched
Till you’ve been touched by a working man
With these farm hands
Yeah, for you, they’ll pick wildflowers
Or guitar in the midnight hour
Something real sweet when your day’s gone sour
When you know all about, you’ll be all about… These
CHORUS
Just give me a chance and I’ll show you
All the things that I can do… With these
CHORUS
No, you ain’t been loved
Till you’ve been loved by a working man
With these farm hands
Farm hands

Great topic and song Brent. As far as what’s on country radio this is very “now”. Good luck with it!
