Since no one knows first hand (experientially) what Heaven will be like, when we try to describe what we think Heaven will be like, we say, "What's the best thing you can think of -- well, it's like that, only much better."
Curious as to your response
Frank Renfordt, thanks very much, both for listening and for feedback. Your comment about not putting the chorus first definitely caught my attention—I just now realized that the reason I did that was probably (subconsciously) so that the song would seem more “safe” to people in church services (my songs are not necessarily standard musical fare for a church service, even though many of them basically are spiritual in nature, imho). I definitely will turn your suggestion over in my brain and see how that feels to me.

Frank Renfordt, after having thought about it (not starting out with the chorus), I think you’re right on the money: 1) I like the idea of not giving the hook away quite as early in the song, and 2) it gets me a little closer to that radio formula of a song being in the neighborhood of 3:20 - 3:30 (in length)—Once again, thanks for the input!!!

Very nice song Bob! I love your lyrics and message, and your chord changes/harmony are perfect for your changes in lyrics and emotional feel of the sections.

I love your ending too, with the melodic hook played with your awesome piano playing.

CHORUS
Heaven’s gonna be, Just like that, Just like that,
Just like that, Only better
VERSE
She stands there in the moonlight, He sees that she’s the one,
The one who’ll walk beside him all the way,
He puts his arm around her, and pulls her to his chest,
It’s almost like he hears God say,
CHORUS
VERSE
She lays there on the gurney, and screams into his chest,
“Will someone please just take this pain away,”
Then suddenly it’s over, the baby’s in his arms
He smiles, and then he hears God say,
CHORUS (twice)
VERSE
He tightly holds the pew, as he feels the Spirit call,
He knows that he’s resisted way too long,
He finally takes that first step, and the shackles fall away,
And then he hears that age-old song,
CHORUS
BRIDGE
Eye hath not seen, Ear hath not heard,
Glories that beckon, Promised in the Word,
Mansions in glory, Streets paved with gold
Our hope awaits, Heaven un-folds, God says it’s gonna be
CHORUS (twice)

Hi Bob,
I like the chorus and that little melody - very nice. The ‘story’ unfolds pretty good, however I would recommend not to start with the chorus, because you give your hook away.
