I love you so much, that’s why it hurts
When we don’t agree
But you can always count on me
By the way, if there was a guide to using Frettie, it would say somewhere not to upload more than a song or two per week, for a couple of reasons. First, people need time to evaluate a song, the music and the lyrics, and given the hectic schedules of most people, finding the time required to analyze a song is tough. Secondly, it keeps your name on the first page longer if you spread your uploads over a few week period, giving you more exposure.

I appreciate your feedback and so will pass it along to the studio I use.
I understand what you mean by uploading one song per week, but my reason for joining was for another online presence to pitch from and gather feedback. Thanks again!

He grabbed his keys and headed for the door
He thought I gotta get away
He didn’t want to fight anymore
That’s when he heard her say
You can count on me, I won’t ever let go
You can count on me, I just want you to know
That you can always count on me
He felt so small, not the man she deserved
The words he heard caught him off guard
He said I’m sorry, she said love takes work
He spoke straight from his heart
You can count on me, I won’t ever let go
You can count on me, I just want you to know
That you can always count on me
Sometimes it’s hard to just get by
He’d love to give her so much more
But when they don’t see eye to eye
They know their love’s worth fighting for
You can count on me, I won’t ever let go
You can count on me, I just want you to know
I love you so much, that’s why it hurts
When we don’t agree
But you can always count on me
Yes you can always count on me

Hi Marvin, I think I’ve finally listened to all of your songs (a couple of them wouldn’t play). Out of all of them, I believe this one is my favorite. Maybe because it’s the closest to sounding like what’s currently on the radio. I know they say not to write to what’s current, but I don’t see the current sound going away anytime soon.
You’re obviously a more accomplished writer than me, so you can take what I say for what it’s worth…
I don’t know when most of your songs were written, but several of them sound dated. Either the theme, melody, chord progressions or instrumentation makes them sound older.
You have a lot of good songs, but feel they are missing that “something” to push them over the edge to a great song. I’ll leave some other comments under the individual songs.
