About This Song

Have you ever a sat in your car and didn't want to get out, you just wanted to go on a longer ride, enjoy the sites to clear your mind.

Feedback Requested

on melody, music, lyrics, any feedback is always appreciated. I realize "this is my go to place" does not fit well. I like "nothing but country air"-something different

Hey, Amber- thanks for sharing this with us.  I like that you’re putting some tempo on this one.  I’d work on getting both verses to “sing” the same- to have the same meter and phrasing.  V1 is noticeably different from V2.  V2 felt rushed, like there were too many words crammed in.

Hope that helps.  Please pay it forward by commenting on another writer’s song.  Thanks!

in my car feeling out of place
you watch me from the window pane
hard day, I need to clear my mind
come with me Let's go for a ride

Headed no where
doing nothing
going no where
this is my go to place

Chorus
can't you see life's not easy
I wanna to get away
don't you know that it never will be
I wanna drive away from here
let's get away from here today
today

no lights, blue skies, staring at fields of green
it's you and me, best view in the passenger seat
stick shifts different gears
baby let's get out of here

headed nowhere
doing nothing
going nowhere
this is my go to place
