Hi Folks - I’m an independent songwriter - not a singer-songwriter. Born in Dallas of Mexican parentage. I write in English and Spanish and in a great variety of styles - from Boleros to Broadway, and everything in between. I currently live in Chicago but originally being from a migrant family of 12, as a kid, we moved around a lot, saw a lot, felt a lot, and heard a lot, which might explain my broad cultural and stylistic preferences.

I use a piano when composing. And I try not to use a dictionary when writing lyrics - especially country-influenced songs since basic everyday speech sounds more direct and natural in that style. Not being a vocalist myself, I’ve been lucky to have found decent singers to demo the songs I’ve posted here.
