LOL! - Ok. Pretty sure I've accidentally broken every Songwriting Pro rule on this one. ....But it was SO much fun! I'll get back to writing toward the radio bullseye soon. Just think: Nitty Gritty Dirt Trepeaux for me!
This is the Live in Little Rock version of 125 written with co-writer C. Jones. It's based on a poor ole young goof who had to do a little unexpected hitchhiking. As he's out there he realizes his wild and crazy young, fast love thoughts are just a dream and really not the way to go for "life's long, successful haul" home. - Just a fun work in progress with more imagery to be added soon. Thanks for listening. Hey, play it at the back yard barbeque once your friends have tied a few on! Maybe it'll work that way. - LOL! And HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!!!

I spent another crazy night with some good ole friends of mine.
How much we drank? Hell, I don’t know.
Sunrise woke me up, hungover without a buck,
and a broke-down truck. Peace-out I’m gone.
My boots will keep me walkin’, my thumb out keeps me talkin’.
How far I’d get, I didn’t know.
On a mirage-soaked horizon she pulls up just in time in
a souped-up black Camaro!
And we rolled on and on,
doin’ one twenty-five I know.
I’ve been told, oh no
hitchhikin's too dangerous alone.
If ya need yourself a ride put away the foolish pride.
Fast love’s the only way you can go.
If ya need yourself a ride put away the foolish pride.
Fast love’s the only way you can go!
Awhhhh, Saddle ‘em up!!
She made that whip fly as I held on for my dear life.
How’d those gears shift? Well, I don’t know.
She hung on to my words. I hung on to the look of her.
She never said much, just “Let’s go!”
She pulled on to the side and said, “It’s your turn to drive.”,
then jumps in the back. Ya know where this goes.
I hated not to help her out, so we rode fast, I drove her wild.
and hugged every curve like a pro!!!!
But this engine’s long gone cold.
This dream’s no hand to hold.
Maybe that slow love’s how night moves grow...............Yeah!
And we rolled on and on,
doin’ one twenty-five I know.
I’ve been told, no, no
hitchhikin’s too dangerous alone.
If ya need yourself a ride and your baby’s by your side
That slow love’s how night moves grow!
Oh, don’t ya know? Oh, don’t ya know?
That slow love’s how night moves grow.
We need the night moves, to make the right moves.
That slow love’s how night moves grow.
