About This Song

Tried to write a fun country song. It's about someone from Nashville moving to Los Angeles. The biggest country radio station here in Los Angeles is “Go Country 105”hosted on the weekends by Drew Baldridge so if you listen to the song or if you visit LA this here song is a tip of the hat to them.

Country n L.A.

Written by Robert Boog

Drove from Nashville west to LA
And now my boots are on the ground
Flannel wrapped ‘round my small-town soul
Wonderin’ if I’ll fit this West Coast mold
Took San Vicente in my truck,
first time in the city
Saw the Pacific there at sunset
God it looked so pretty
My stomach’s twistin’,
missin’ home sweet home
Pressure’s on, and I’m all alone
Then i turned that dial to 105
And a country song lit up the night
So I raise my hands, cause it’s my jam
Butterflies gone, I’m feelin’ strong
I’m tappin’ my boots like, hell yeah
Swingin’ my hips like, you bet
And I know I’ll be okay
They got country n L.A.
They love country n L.A.
Sang karaoke in the back of the bar
Folks thought I could be a star
“Who’s that dude wearing cowboy boots?”
Hollywood stuff I ain’t used to
Missin’ friends back home in Tennessee
This ain’t no honky-tonk jamboree
My stomach’s twistin’,
missin’ home sweet home
Pressure’s on, and I’m all alone
I turned the radio dial to 105
And a country song lit up the night
So I raise my hands, cause it’s my jam
Butterflies gone, I’m feelin’ strong
I’m tappin’ my boots like, hell yeah
Swingin’ my hips like, you bet
And I know I’ll be okay
They got country n L.A.
They love country n L.A.
Thought ‘bout catchin’ a flight tonight
Back to my home and firefly light
But a pretty girl smiles at me eeh eeh
Says she’s from Tennessee eeh, eeh
I ask her to dance ,
cause it’s my jam
Butterflies gone, and I’m feelin’ strong
I’m tappin’ my boots like, hell yeah
Swingin’ my hips like, you bet
And I know I’ll be okay
They love country n L.A.
In L.A. In L.A.
And I know I’ll be okay
They got country,
n L.A
n LA.
