I wrote the words and music to this song a few years ago. With A.I. I was able to give it a more caribbean vibe. Kind of like how Neil Diamond wrote Red Red Wine but it was never a hit until it was re-recorded by ub40 with a reggae style. Enjoy

ISLAND WATER
Words and music by Allan Rosensweig
If you listen to a Kenny Chesney song backwards
All your problems return and you’re putting your shirt and your shoes back on
And you’re never gonna dip your toes in the clear blue water
If you keep turning off all those Zac Brown songs
Don’t know much about geography
But one thing those guys taught me
You gotta step into that Island water
There’s nothing that water can’t cure
Once you step into that island water
You’re not gonna hurt anymore
Where the tide’s gently swaying and the sand is warm and soft
All your pain will be floating away
And all your worries drift off
Well you don’t need to bring a cooler with cold Coronas
Just a little dab of Coppertone to rub on your skin
And you don’t need a preacher and a choir singing hallelujah
Just wade out into the water and dunk yourself right in
Don’t know much about geography
Magic happens where the sand meets the sea
You gotta step into that Island water
There’s nothing that water can’t cure
Once you step into that island water
You’re not gonna hurt anymore
Where the tide’s gently swaying and the sand is warm and soft
All your pain will be floating away
And all your worries drift off
All your worries drift off
Just pack a suitcase with your heartaches and tough breaks
And bring ‘em down here
You’ll be under the sunshine watching the bad times disappear
You gotta step into that Island water
There’s nothing that water can’t cure
Once you step into that island water
You’re not gonna hurt anymore
Where the tide’s gently swaying and the sand is warm and soft
All your pain will be floating away
And all your worries drift off
All your worries drift off
